Working RotoSpider API examples

Run the same known-good layout request from Python, JavaScript, curl, or PowerShell. Each client calls the deterministic RotoSpider geometry engine.

Preview status

  • Tested 2026-07-19
  • Response: zhihuo.roto.layout-check.v1
  • Integer _mm or decimal _in fields
  • MIT-licensed sample code

Inside the ZIP

  • Equivalent millimetre and inch JSON requests
  • Python 3 standard-library client
  • Node.js 18+ client with built-in fetch
  • curl and PowerShell clients
  • AI-agent scheduling workflow

Run after extracting

python python/layout_check.py
node javascript/layout_check.mjs
bash curl/layout_check.sh
powershell -ExecutionPolicy Bypass -File powershell/layout_check.ps1

Set ROTO_API_URL to use the same clients with an agreed private or local endpoint. Pass sample-request-inch.json to see decimal-inch input and the optional inch display projection; canonical result fields remain physical millimetres on a 0.001 mm grid.

Active iteration

These examples work with today's public layout API, but the schemas and examples are not yet a frozen compatibility contract. Check the response api field and contact Zhihuo before a production integration.

The public RotoScheduler scheduling interface is still being shaped with rotomolders; this package does not claim that a public scheduling endpoint already exists.

Bring us your factory specifics

We welcome machine/arm/spider geometry, mold master data, cycle and mold-changeover times, same-spider rules, daily capacity, and MOM/ERP requirements.

Do not send confidential factory data until data handling and access have been agreed. Contact zhzx@zhihuo.com.
